Chair yoga is great for beginners and practitioners that have a harder time getting on or off the floor.
The poses (asanas) are practiced while sitting on a chair or using a chair as support. The advantages of a basic yoga class are preserved, building muscle strengt while just making it easier for people that need some prop.
Chair yoga is also a great variation for practitioners that would like to try something new or do not want to miss yoga while recovering from knee surgery or pain.
